Outdoor Education
The Outdoor Adventure and Learning Center at Camp Kweebec offers outdoor education, team building, and environmental education programs for grades 3 through 12 with additional programming available for younger students in environmental education and for older students and adults in outdoor education. We also have day programs available for younger student groups.
Located in the Perkiomen Valley minutes away from Valley Forge and under an hour from Philadelphia, the Center is focused on serving the needs of local schools and their students. For over sixty years the center has worked hard to preserve and maintain our natural surroundings. It provides a chance for groups to explore nature in a fun way while being appropriately challenged both physically and mentally.
The Center offers over 150 acres of diverse ecosystems that maintain a variety of wildlife. The terrain ranges from field to marsh, stream to woodland, and pond to residential. This diversity enables the Center to better serve students by offering a varied curriculum.
Our staff recognizes that students learn and perform at different ability levels. Success is determined by each student's individual yardstick of achievement. At the Adventure and Learning Center a safe and fun environment exists where children can thrive and grow in positive ways.
The goal at the Outdoor Adventure and Learning Center at Camp Kweebec is to provide a comprehensive outdoor education and team building program to assist educators in developing effective communication skills, leadership skills, self-esteem and a sense of team unity in their students.
