Program Updates!
Always working to provide the most exciting, diverse camping experience, summer 2009 will see some amazing new additions to our ever-expanding Kweebec program.
Lacrosse!
We are proud to announce that the oldest team sport in North America will become a fixture in Camp Kweebec’s 2009 schedule! Along with providing instruction from skilled coaches and players, camp will be purchasing the necessary equipment to ensure that every Kweebecer has the opportunity to learn this great game. Campers in both Girls’ and Boys’ camp can look forward to seeing Lacrosse added to their daily schedules.
Wrestling!
For children across the country, wrestling has become a hugely popular activity. This summer at Camp Kweebec we are excited to announce that Kenneth Sturm, Athletic Director of Overbrook High School, and head coach of Overbrook’s Wrestling program will be giving any interested camper the chance to practice this great sport. Whether just beginning, or looking to improve, every camper will have the opportunity to learn wrestling from one of the area’s top coaches.
Mountain Biking!
With hills, streams and a ton of trails, Camp Kweebec is the perfect place to experience the thrill of offroad biking. Equipped with brand new bikes, and a staff that loves to ride, we can’t wait to get some dirt in our treads!
Bunk Renovations!
Here at Camp Kweebec we are constantly working to update and improve our facilities, and 2009 is no different!
Renovations on both girls’ and boys’ lines have already begun and are shaping up in an amazing way. Our Kweebec girls can look forward to more wooden beds this summer, as well as new siding and paneling in every single cabin! In boys’ camp the bathrooms are seeing some major updates as we install brand new non-slip tile floors that are not only easy to clean, but also great looking!
